This is driving many sellers to third-party eBay listing tools. But, it is not a desktop application like Turbo Lister and doesn’t have either the option to work offline, or the capacity to store finished listings. On one hand there is eBay’s new Seller Hub, which does feature a listing tool. It is these sellers who are now left with a tough decision. For others, Turbo Lister’s ability to create listings offline and upload them in bulk to eBay, for free, made it their listing tool of choice. Many sellers opted for third-party eBay listing software long ago. I could make a 30+ bullet point post detailing all of the major issues with the new format but that seems like a waste of everyone’s time.EBay has retired its popular listing tool, Turbo Lister, after almost two decades of service. Changing any part of the title or description will cause the item specifics tab to reload for up to 30-45 seconds. The page will reload in the middle of me listing, deleting all of my work, images I delete will come back and remove other images I replaced them with, item specifics will force themselves into my listing, trying to change specifics will cause my webpage to freeze entirely. But oftentimes I’ll just have to give up on listing and come back when it’s ready to work. Usually I can list no problem, it just takes me much longer than it used to. Force closing the page and trying it again will just cause the same issue until eBay decides it wants to work. Trying to change an item specific that eBay forced into my listing will oftentimes cause the entire webpage to freeze for minutes at a time. At worst, the listing tool will make it so I cannot list any items whatsoever. About a month ago I’ve been forced over to the new listing format.įor context I list almost exclusively trading cards, I am using a newer MacBook which has no issues running or processing anything else I’ve thrown at it, I’m hardwired via ethernet, 150+ down, 15+ up, and I do most of my listings through “Create Similar Listing” on my own listings and changing the necessary details/specifics.Īt best, the new tool takes me twice as long to make a listing half as good as the old format. I list a few hundred items a week for auction on eBay. Posting here should not be your first effort at learning something or troubleshooting.
